Lee Leads the PackWPBA Carolina Classic
Fresh off her victory at the Skins Billiards Championship, seventh-ranked Jeanette Lee put in a strong performance to advance to the next round to face Megan Minerich. In her first-round match this evening, Lee met Canada's Rachael Abbink, and though Lee took the first three racks, Abbink fought back to knot the score at 3-all. Though in almost each game afterward the ladies traded innings, Abbink couldn't seem to come out on the winning end of it, and soon Lee crossed the finish line with a 9-3 win.

Tiffany Nelson whitewashed Vicki Paski, who spent most of the match in her chair as the "The Rock" coolly pocketed ball after ball to win 9-0. Ranked 14th, Nelson advanced to play Angel Paglia of Arizona, who defeated Anna Kostanian 9-3 earlier.
The vivacious Vivian Villareal sent Jennifer Chen to the one-loss side 9-6, while recent up-and-comer Xiaoting Pan dealt a 9-3 defeat to Heather Lloyd in the first-round match. Kim Shaw advances to meet Val Finnie by virtue of her 9-4 victory over Wendy Jans, and Sarah Ellerby squeaked by her match with Liz Ford, pulling off a hill-hill win.
