Mason Snares Second VictoryBy InsidePOOL StaffTerri "Tiger" Mason notched her second victory of the year on the Tiger Products Canadian Women's Pool Tour on April 23-24.  The $500-added event played host to a field of 20 players at Hot Stixx in London, on, for the tour's second stop of the season.   Returning champion Naomi Williams and Terri Mason highlighted a field of outstanding 9-ball players.  Mason's control on the winners' bracket was evident with wins over Kelly Shaddock and Leanne Amable.  These tough wins propelled Mason into the hot seat match against Brampton, on, native Dorthy Brown.  In the fifth game of the set, Brown cut Mason's lead to 3-2, but in the end, Mason's play proved to be too sharp as she bested Brown 7-4.On the one-loss side, newcomer Kelly "Come Back Kid" Shaddock didn't let her earlier hill-hill loss to Mason diminish her intensity.  She ousted defending champion Williams as well as Amable with relative ease.  Carolina Fernandez, the tour's CEO, said, "It goes to show players like Kelly Shaddock to never give up if you lose the A-side match."  Shaddock's determination would be much needed, though, as she met Star Williams, who's skill and concentration was too much for Shaddock to overcome, forcing her to settle for a fourth-place finish.  Williams then met Brown, and thanks to a strong safety game and aggressive shooting, she landed herself a spot in the finals against Mason.Mason and Star Williams were set for an exciting final.  At 6-2, Mason used some safe and advantageous play to run out the table and capture the title 7-2.Results:1st Terri Mason $4652nd Star Williams $2903rd Dorthy Brown $1704th Kelly Shaddock $1205th Donna Sasges, Leanne Amable $60 Visit InsidePOOL for the latest news ifrom the Canadian Women's Pool Tour.
