Melman Returns to Billiard Winners’ CircleJacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour / Holland, MIby Rick Davis   Julie Melman bested the 23-player field to claim the title in the Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour’s third stop. Taking place over the November 18-19 weekend, this double-elimination 9-ball event was hosted by Guppies Casual Dining & Billiards in Holland, MI.Melman destroyed her half of the winners’ side to reach the hot seat match, where she faced Leanne Amable and defeated her to reach the finals. Amable briefly visited the one-loss side and, after eliminating Irene Henry, was back to face Melman once again.
The finals were dominated by Melman, who breezed past with a 9-5 score. Melman consistently placed in the top eight on last season’s tour, and with this first-place finish she is has now placed there in two of the three this season. Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour will appear at Rack Attack in Port Clinton, OH, for their fourth stop December 9.
