The Holiday Inn Chesapeake will be playing host to the world's greatest poolplayers this week as the Mid-Atlantic 9-Ball tournament kicks off today and will last until Sunday. 94 players comprise what is undisputably the strongest feild amassed since the U.S. Open was held at the Chesapeake Convention Center, which is located adjacent to the Holiday Inn, back in September of 2002. The list of the players look like the who's-who of pool in the last decade and promises some great matches. Some notables would include Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, Earl Strickland , Johnny Archer, Scott Frost and current U.S Open Champion Ralf Souquet. Some of today's feature matches include Scott frost vs. Ralf Souquet, Efren Reyes vs. Leonardo Andam and Jeremy Jones vs. Max Eberle.Play begins today and InsidePOOL Magazine is present at the event.
