Noon Takes the Win by StormKBP Lucasi Amateur 9-Ball Tour / Palm Harbor, FLby Kay HigginsThe KBP Lucasi Amateur 9-Ball Tour kicked off their season with a stop at Stroker’s Billiards in Palm Harbor, FL. This January 14 event brought 45 billiard players, but it was Robert Noon who stood out above the rest as he finished first in the $500-added tournament.
A bye started off Noon’s trek to the finals, and then a whitewashing over last season’s 8-ball points winner, Jason Richko, made it that much easier. He also faced down Ron Barnett, Travis Moore, Scott Howard, and Jimmy Hines in the hot seat match, winning that 7-2. In the one-loss side, Moore eliminated two players before running into Bryan Davalos, who ousted him 5-3. Davalos then had to face Josh Lewis, who won their match hill-hill to advance to the finals against Noon. The match went back and forth with neither player able to take the advantage, and finally, tied hill-hill, Lewis missed and left only three balls for Noon, who took game and match 9-8 for the victory.
