The North side consists of Allen Hopkins, Corey Deuel, Mika Immonen, Tony Robles, and Rodney Morris. The South side comprises Johnny Archer, Nick Varner, Buddy Hall, Charlie Williams, and Tommy Kennedy. The event kicked off with a Scotch doubles 9-ball event. Mika Immonen and Allen Hopkins teamed up to defeat Johnny Archer and Nick Varner 4-2. Then Corey Deuel and Immonen delivered a 4-0 smackdown to the team of Charlie Williams and Tommy Kennedy. Finally, Buddy Hall and Johnny Archer defeated Rodney "The Rocket" Morris and Tony Robles 4-3.
In the one-on-one 9-ball event, Morris fell prey to "The Scorpion," who recently has been on a winning streak. With his victory over the strong 64-man field at the Professional Brunswick Pro Players Championship last March at Valley Forge and then his win at the IBC's Western Canadian Open 9-Ball Championship in Calgary, Archer is playing at the top of his game now. Tony Robles defeated Buddy "The Rifleman" Hall 5-2 in the other 9-ball match. The final event of the afternoon session was five-on-five Scotch doubles, which was won by the North defeating the South 4-3.
