Oh Brothers! Second Straight Hampton WinBy Bill RosenbergerJosh Brothers won his second straight Hampton Ridge 9-Ball tournament at American Billiards in Quakertown, PA.  The 21-player field tried o­n November 14 to dethrone Brothers, but his shot was o­n all weekend long.Most players might have thought that Brothers didn't have enough juice left to survive until the final rounds, considering he had just finished in the money at the Glass City Open the day before.  He not o­nly earned a trip to the finals but managed to knock out Larry Nevel, who is o­ne of the hottest Northeast players as of late.  Nevel and Brothers met first in the hot seat, but Nevel jumped out early and carried his lead to a 7-3 win.  Brothers then went to the semifinals to face Brandon Sluzalis, who had moved up after knocking out Matt Krah.  In a close match, Brothers pulled away for a 7-5 win and rematch with Nevel in the finals.The two skilled competitors traded games back and forth, but Brothers staked to a three-game lead at 7-4.  Nevel bounced back, winning three in a row to tie it up, but Brothers took over from there, nailing down the last two racks for a 9-7 victory.Results:1st Josh Brothers2nd Larry Nevel3rd Brandon Sluzalis4th Matt Krah5th Mike Miller, Lee Holt  Visit InsidePOOL for the latest news in the sport of billiards and pool.
