One-Loss Bracket Whittles Down in Music City

The o­ne-loss bracket matches ended for the evening at the Music City Open, leaving in its wake a mere 24 players remaining.  Notable matches included a previous champ of this event, Scotty Townsend (pictured to the right), defeating James Miller 11-2; bar box aficionado Barry Emerson over Rick Reed via forfeit; tournament director Scott Smith defeating Ron Banks 11-5; "Mad Max" Eberle over Randy Vaughn 11-7; and Tony Mougey over Chris Nations 11-2.
 The remainder of the matches concluded as follows:John Schmidt (pictured below) d. Jason Turner 11-5Rusty Jackson d. Anthony Barnett 11-8Jeff Wade d. Bilbrey 11-7Dino Conjardo d. Davey Crockett 11-3Danny Harriman d. Ron Brumley 11-6Jeremy Hart d. Lacie Pope via forfeitTinsley Johnson d. Nat Green 11-9Billy Bailey d. Ben Reasoner 11-9Lee Uhles d. Steve McDaniels 11-3Glenn Smith d. Bob Lewis 11-4Billy Young d. Craig White 11-6Tony Mougey, a proficient bar box player, will face Danny Harriman, winner of the 9-ball banks event at the Derby City Classic at 2:30 PM, and the winner will go o­n to face Jose Parica at 8:30 PM.  John Schmidt will square off with Max Eberle at 2:30 PM.  Scott Frost, defending champion, will lock horns with Lee Uhles at 4:00 PM.  If Frost emerges victorious in his next two matches, it will set up a showdown with local favorite Bobby Pickle at 10:00 PM.There are 8 players undefeated in the Music City Open, and 16 players remain in the o­ne-loss bracket.  InsidePOOL is present at the event and will updating our website several times per day, in addition to providing dozens of new images in our image gallery daily.
