Orcollo and Ortmann Make it into the IPTDennis Orcollo and Oliver Ortmann have become the newest members of the IPT, by virtue of their victories at Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower, CA.Orcollo and Ortmann played in the winners’-side finals, and though Ortmann held a commanding 6-1 lead, he never won another game, as Orcollo caught the momentum and took charge to win the match 10-6.In the one-loss side, Eric Hjorliefson of Canada matched up with Goh Takami of Japan. From a 5-all tie, the players traded games until the match reached double-hill. Takami missed a carom attempt on the 1, and Hjorliefson dished up for a 10-9 win.View the IPT Qualifier C image gallery.Heading to the one-loss finals, Hjorliefson came back from a 4-1 deficit against the German and then tied it at 5 apiece. They split the next two racks, but then Ortmann cautiously pulled ahead to reach the hill 9-6. Ortmann missed his first shot in the last rack, but Hjorliefson missed an early solid by at least a diamond, and Ortmann was able to clear the table for his 10-6 win.
