Pan Unstoppable on Hunter Classic Amateur Women’s 9-Ball Tourby InsidePOOL Staff Austin, TX - The Hunter Classics Amateur Women's Tour held their second stop of the year at Fast Eddie’s of Austin, TX, Feb 18-19th. The first stop, back in January, hosted 66 women, but even on the coldest weekend of the season the freezing rain and iced bridges could not stop 72 women from trekking to the middle of Texas to play 9-Ball. In the hot seat match, Brannen tipped off with Leslie Anne Rogers. Holding the view throughout the whole match, Brannen secured her place in the finals, winning 7-3. Pan was making waves on the dark side. In the quarterfinals she stalled Deanna Henson in fourth place, winning 7-3.
In the semifinals Rogers and Pan had harmonized their efforts 4-4. But that did not sustain as Pan dominated the next three games to win 7-4, and capture a spot in the finals with Brannen. Pan paid the extra $20 to be eligible for the WPBA Qualifier, so she had more incentive to win the finals. Brannen did not give Pan much of a fight. Winning both sets, 7-1 and 7-3, Pan swiftly turned Brannen’s finals appearance into a cameo. Pan won the coveted WPBA spot, as well as $750 for first place.Results:1st Xiaoting Pan2nd Lisa Brannen3rd Leslie Anne Rogers4th Deanne Henson5th Belinda LeeKyu Yi7th Lisa Henderson MajorTerry Petrosino9th Laura BendikasTina LehrmannJennifer KraberAmanda Lampert13th Kim PierceElexia LoweCristina Dela GarzaShirstie SchmidgalVisit Inside POOL Magazine for the latest news fromt he Hunter Classic Tour.
