Pinegar Picks off Viking EventViking Cue 9-Ball Tour / Galesburg, ILby InsidePOOL Staff The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour stopped in Galesburg, IL, the weekend of March 25-26. A total of 61 players, including 9 women and juniors, converged on Billiards on Main, but it was Jon Pinegar who came out on top. The room was newly renovated because of a fire and looked great, boasting tournament-edition Brunswick Gold Crown IV’s and multiple bar tables. Every table in the house was refinished for the tournament. The race was the 7, and the hot seat match came down to Chad Vilmont and Manuel Chau, with Vilmont advancing 7-2. Now in the one-loss side, Chau went over to play Pinegar in a close and heated semifinal match that saw “Hennessee From Tennessee” winning double-hill.
 In the true double-elimination finals, Pinegar handily won the first set7-2 over Vilmont, riding the momentum from his last match. The second set saw Pinegar reach the hill with Vilmont at 5.
