Jeong made it there after winning his match with Thailand’s Chatchawal Rutphae 11-7. Jeong and Reyes played in the finals of last year’s Mid-Atlantic Classic, in which Jeong tried valiantly but didn’t get as many rolls as his opponent. In this match, he and Reyes both played to the hilt of their abilities. When the score reached 10 apiece, Jeong put Reyes in jail, forcing him to bring out his jump cue. In the shot of the match, “The Magician” flew over two blocking balls to sink the 1 in the corner pocket. From there, Reyes took the lead and then broke and ran out to win the first-place prize. The final leg of the tour takes place in Manila in the Philippines on May 29-30, 2004. The tour has only known two winners—Reyes and Yang Ching Shun of Taipei, Taiwan. It will certainly be interesting to stay tuned and see who takes top honors at the tour’s finale.Visit InsidePOOL for the latest news in the sport of billiards and pool.
