Schwager Double-Dips Kang for Victory
JAB Junior 9-Ball Tour / Maple Shade, NJ

Kicking off the new JAB Junior 9-Ball Tour with a bang, Derek Schwager double-dipped Lee Kang in the finals to win the tour’s first title. This 19-and-under division event, held March 4, was hosted by The Green Room Billiards in Maple Shade, NJ.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Michael Torsado with wins over Ryan Gilligan and Joshua Fuller. Kang led the way in the bottom half of the bracket, with wins over Derick Daya and Kevin Sun.
 
Kang and Torsado found themselves playing each other for the hot seat, and though the match went back and forth, it was Kang who advanced and sent Torsado to the west side of the chart. There he ran into Schwager, who was fighting back after losing his second match. Now on a roll, he continued his winning streak by besting Torsado to reach the finals, where he defeated Kang twice to win the tournament.
