Sparks Fly at Firecracker Pro Open By InsidePOOL StaffThe Firecracker Pro Open, kicked off yesterday and is now down to the final six players out of the original 51. The first event of the new Florida Pro Tour is sponsored by the Seminole Tribe and is being held at Capone's in Springhill, FL.Players such as Rodney Morris, Buddy "The Rifleman" Hall, Danny Harriman, Troy Frank, Ray "Cool Cat" Martin, Howard Vickery, and other excellent players contested hotly for the total purse of $12,100. Each stop will have $5,000 added, with no fees taken out.
So far in the two-day event, Rodney "The Rocket" Morris has rolled through the winners' bracket and is now poised to meet Charlie Williams of the UPA in the hot seat match later this evening.There are four players remaining on the one-loss side of the chart. Jim Stone, who lost earlier to Morris and then went on to defeat Buddy Hall and Danny Harriman, will match up with Adam Wheeler, who just lost to Williams.
