The National Pool Series  In today’s competitive world, there are a number of venues for athletes in just about any sport compete amongst themselves and against others at various levels of competition and expertise. However, it does not seem to be that way in Billiards.  The Billiards player needs to seek out individual events that are conducted by various groups or leagues and which seem to have virtually no similarity or continuity from one event to the next.  The National Pool Service has been developed to alleviate this problem. The NPS has compiled a complete tour schedule which encompasses holding events all over this great country of ours.  The competitions will be in the 8-Ball Billiards format.  Any Billiards player can compete in any or all of these events.  By participating in these events you will not only competing for excellent prize money, but you will also be trying to accumulate points.  The top 100 players in the NPS, based on point total, will advance to the National Championship which will be held at the end of each year.
Every player advancing to the National Championship will have all expenses paid to the event.  Each weekly series will have a minimum first place prize of $10,000.00.  The winner’s purse may increase depending on the add-in provided by sponsors for each individual event.  The National Championship will provide a $100,000.00 first place payout.  The top 100 finishers in The National Championship event will all be in the money as well. The goal of The National Pool Series is to have an open venue for both men and women, enabling them to compete in quality events all year round. By providing such a venue, the NPS will give the avid pool player a chance to show off their skills while competing against players from all over the country.  While competition is important, the prize money is not bad either!  For more information visit The National Pool Series website.Visit Inside POOL Magazine for the latest news from the sport of billiards and pool.
