Play kicked off and ran smooth throughout Saturday with the top competitors returning to finish up on Sunday.Stan Tourangeau of Vancouver, BC, stormed through the winners’ bracket awaiting his opponent for the finals. BackStreet's owner, Doug Berest, lost to Tourangeau in the hot seat match and dropped back to face Canadian champ Paul Potier, who came all the way through the west side of the chart after a first-round loss. Berest dismissed Potier in a close 9-7 match, going on to face a determined Tourangeau in the finals.
The single race to 13 witnessed incredible playing, and ultimately a 13-9 victory of Tourangeau over Berest. This is Tourangeau's first win of the tour season, and this win will move him up considerably in the point standings.
