Western Canadian Open 9-Ball by InsidePOOL StaffThe Western Canadian Open 9-Ball is still going strong, with only 48 players remaining on Friday morning. The event, which is being held in two separate locations - Great White Billiards and The Oval - in Calgary, Alberta, saw some upsets and some amazing matches on Thursday evening. Results are as follows:Local pool shark Joanne Ashton, twin of the karaoke queen Beverley Ashton and the only woman left in the event, took veteran local pool shark John Colak out in a surprise 11-6 match.
